Ruiz Training Center, LLC is an independent, locally owned and operated EMS Program. Owner and Program Director, Mr. Jorge Raul Ruiz received his Master’s in Public Health from American Military University and a Bachelor of Emergency Health Science from the University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio. A strong advocate for hands-on, inquiry-based learning, he involves his students in a variety of problem-solving, technology-infused activities that provide them opportunities to use their knowledge to help others.
Over Twenty-Five years combined experience working for Profit and Non-profit organizations, private sector, such as Ambulance Services with Emergency 911 and nonemergency transportations, EMS Clinical Director, EMS Compliance Director, home health quality assurance, various areas of the hospital structure and adolescent detox centers. He also completed the Professional Development Series through FEMA Emergency Management Institute that provides a well-versed set of essentials for those in the emergency management profession.
His professional interests focus on all Humans having an equal right to the resources necessary to be able to live a long, healthy, prosperous life; the effectiveness of institutions depending heavily on the public’s trust and the collaboration of public health. In addition, he served as an EMS Committee Member for the Texas Governor’s EMS and Trauma Advisory Council in Austin Texas, South Texas College EMT Program Advisory Committee, and Rio Grande Valley College Professional Advisory Committee. Currently, he is working on his second Master’s in Emergency and Disaster Management also from American Military University.

Mission
Program Goal: To prepare competent entry-level Emergency Medical Responders (EMR’s) / Emergency Medical Technician (EMT’s) / Advanced EMT’s in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills) and affective (behavior) learning domains. The mission of the RUIZ TRAINING CENTER, LLC is providing of effective, safe, cost-beneficial, patient-focused, pre-hospital medical and trauma services to those presenting to the EMS System. This mission is accomplished by pursuing programs focusing on quality improvement; education and training; effective healthcare delivery systems; public education and prevention programs; and developing strong working relationships with other community partners.
Vision
The vision of RUIZ TRAINING CENTER, LLC is to be viewed by other local, state, and national EMS programs as visionary and trend setting in emergency medical services by demonstrating the highest level of care to citizens utilizing cutting edge technology and innovative service delivery models.
